“Supervision is an opportunity to bring someone back to their mind, to show them how good they can be.” - Nancy Kline

Tarini Mathrani (ACA Level 4) - STS Training

ACA and PACFA members located in Coomera on the Gold Coast, as well as those accessing services via Telehealth throughout Queensland, have the opportunity to receive both individual and group supervision from Tarini. Tarini is a clinical supervisor who has completed specialized training through the STS Clinical Supervision program. With over 7 years of professional experience as a counselor, she provides trauma-informed counseling, psychological first aid, and crisis support tailored to individual needs. Her background includes three years as a Behavior Support Practitioner with the NDIS, valuable work at the Brave hearts Foundation, and currently, she manages her own private practice in Coomera, which operates five days each week.

Tarini offers a warm, safe, and collaborative approach to clinical supervision, thoughtfully designed to support both newly graduated and experienced counselors. She utilizes a structured method that systematically works through seven key areas of clinical practice by implementing the STEP-UP model. This comprehensive approach helps counselors develop a solid and effective clinical practice, establish and maintain healthy boundaries, consistently uphold their ethical responsibilities, and find a balanced integration of ongoing professional development alongside their personal well-being.

Tarini is trained in Level-1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy and takes great satisfaction in supporting counselors in their work with couples throughout Australia. She offers clinical supervision that is tailored to your professional needs and can assist you in areas such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women’s mental health and overall well-being. Additionally, Tarini incorporates a nervous system approach discussing both the Polyvagal Theory and the Window of Tolerance allowing for a more integrated and holistic style of counselling that addresses both emotional and physiological aspects of mental health.

In addition to providing clinical supervision, Tarini is deeply passionate about supporting counselors in managing the essential administration-related tasks that often feel overwhelming. She takes a collaborative approach, working closely with you to address those isolating and challenging areas, such as mastering scheduling software, enhancing social media marketing efforts, balancing your caseload effectively, navigating complex boundaries around finances, and ensuring your practice truly reflects who you are. Her goal is to help you create a therapy practice that supports both professional success and personal well-being in a balanced and sustainable way.

Group Supervision is a fabulous opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, expand your network, and create meaningful opportunities for learning new perspectives, modalities, and innovative ways of empowering both your clinical and administrative practice. In my role, I offer a safe and supportive environment where mutual respect is essential, and inappropriate dialogue will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This space is dedicated to lifting each other up, fostering growth, and supporting one another regardless of what stage of your professional practice you are currently at.
